Neth Sarana Australia Foundation’s Monthly New Year Series of the New Year Series will be held on Saturday 30th January 2021 at the University of Kelaniya. It hopes to distribute spectacles to only 300 of its university staff, including students.Launched in 2014 under the concept of Mrs. Lucky Goonetileke, a resident of Brisbane, Australia, Nethsarana has already carried out a number of social services throughout Sri Lanka to provide completely free spectacles to those who have visual impairments but find it difficult to obtain a pair of spectacles at their own expense.Although the primary purpose is to distribute spectacles, the Neth Sarana Australia Foundation contributes from time to time to a number of social services, including home remodeling, electricity, sanitation, material assistance to pregnant mothers, books and bags for school children with financial difficulties.
