FROM NETH SARANA FOUNDATION TO THEM
The Neth Sarana Australia Foundation has donated ICU beds to new ICU wards established in Homagama and Matara hospitals to accommodate Covid stricken patients during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. This exercise was monitored by the hon. advisor of the foundation most Venerable Mawarale Bhaddiya Nayake Thero.
In September 2020, the foundation distributed 3,000 spectacles among students, undergraduates, teachers, and parents from Kelaniya at Sapugaskanda Maha Vidyalaya, Kelaniya. It was carried out under the supervision of the Education Director of the Biyagama education division Ms. Shalini Bandara, Grama Niladaris, Health inspectors, and other government officers.
The last clinic in the year 2020 was held under the patronage of the Chief Incumbent of the historical Purana Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya, Chief Sanga Nayake of the North, most Venerable Dharmakeerthi Sri Navadagala Paduma Kirthitissa Thero. At this event, five thousand rice bags and face masks were distributed free to the villagers affected by the cyclone. These events were held under health precautionary measures spelled out with the guidance of members of the Sri Lanka Kabadi Association and the Sri Lanka Navy.
